I have just finished my S.E.X. Bottlehead Headphone Amp, the following is customized:
– RCA plugs and Speaker plugs are form CMC
– Vintage style volume knob
– C45 board
– No speaker connection wires (optional)
– 2 x 1.0uF 630V caps –> 2 x Obbligato 2uF 630V caps
– 2 x 0.1uF 630V caps–> Jupiter Beeswax 0,10uF 600V
– Top plate is rebuild from copper and chromed
– Top plate transformer is chromed
The only thing left to do is to figure out how to keep the big obbligato’s in place 😉
Connected to my Senns hd-800 the S.E.X. amp is already sounding great! Cannot wait to connect the amp to my Rega P3 and Music Fidelity pre-amp.
